How to make candied hawthorn

500g hawthorn

300g sugar

200g water

bamboo sticks as needed

1. Soak hawthorn in 700g water, 10g salt and 20g flour for half an hour. Wash and dry the hawthorns, then string them up with bamboo sticks.

2. Pour sugar and water into the pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

3. Adjust the high heat to medium or low heat.

4. When small bubbles appear, dip the sugar water with chopsticks and put it into cold water to taste it. If the sugar becomes crispy, it is done, then turn off the heat.

5. Spin the candied haws in the sugar liquid.

6.Place on baking paper or a plate and let it dry for five minutes before eating….
